The registration for the 1st round in the Icelandic Championship is still on going and will be until May 6th, however we have some confirmed names that will race on Hella the 13th of May!

GUÐBJÖRN [BUBBI] GRÍMSSON on KATLA TURBO
Bubbi has been racing since 1986 on the same Ford Bronco. Today we see it in more advanced form than before! Bubbi’s attempt is to break his world-record Hydroplaning over the famous river of Hella and is aiming at the top! Watch out boys.. the TWIN TURBO machine is here to stay!

Haukur is one of the Street Legal Class contestants and has been, these last weeks, fine tuning his Willys for the spectacular event. He has changed a few things in his car for Hella like the transfer-case, engine and more! He has great potential of the GOLD!

ÞÓR ÞORMAR PÁLSSON on THOR
Þór will be competing on his newly bought car THOR! The car has been in possession of many great drivers and Þór is not an exeption of that. He began racing in 1995 and many of F.O. have predicted his victory in the 1st round.

Steini has been competing in F.O for over 20 years and has never changed cars since!The Smurf and Steini have been Off-Road pals since 1990 and nothing will change that. We surely see that when he drives each course.

Ingó began racing himself in 2010 however he has always been the go-to-guy when it comes to projects with “special needs”. His car has been developing throughout the years and we are positive that he will give us something to remember on Hella. In 2016 he was voted “The Craziest Driver”.

Orri has been prepping the car for the last few weeks to get it running and operating as it should for the daring tracks that is waiting the contestants on Hella. His main rival and good friend Ívar Guðmundsson will not be racing this event so maybe he will snatch the gold from the others and remain on top all season!

The F.O rookie, Birgir, will compete against on Hella. It is Birgir’s very first race in F.O but his driving skills have come through for him in the Drift part of our island. We’re sure that he and his team will arrive on Hella focused and fully committed to the race!

Sveinbjörn hasn’t been seen racing for quite the time or since Egilsstaðir 2013! However he plans his return this event and is participating in the 1st round of the Icelandic Championship! We look forward seeing him the narly hills of Hella’s race area!

Gummi started racing last year and did he show quite the fire in his fierce battle for first place on Hella, or the whole 2016 season! His main rivals were Snorri Þór and Ólafur Bragi. We can safely say that this season will be no different. We anticipate he will show the F.O fans and contestants who’s boss!!

His first appearance in F.O was on Akureyri 2016 when he rented the car from Gestur J.
